Rescue Transit

Made for the Ford Transit as an adaptation of the New Time interior layout to the new Ford L2H2 van. The project enhances the vehicle's features while maintaining a balance between operational ergonomics, spatial rationality, and construction quality. It is available in both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. For the four-wheel drive Mariani Fratelli has developed an exclusive roof raising Developed by Mariani Fratelli, designed to ensure optimal interior space, full freedom of movement, and maximum operational efficiency, with an’pavilion height equal to 1820 mm

Ford Transit 4x2 - original roof

Maximum operational efficiency, with no route limits

On a Ford Transit Van base four-wheel drive, Rescue Transit is designed to tackle complex operational scenarios where accessibility and performance make all the difference.

Designed to go further

The four-wheel drive it allows safe operation even on difficult terrain, rough roads, or adverse weather conditions, making this setup ideal for operations in mountainous or rural areas, or special emergencies.

Raised roof, more operational space

The roof raising Mariai F.lli in fiberglass allows you to significantly increase the internal volume and livability of the toilet compartment, improving ergonomics, movement, and the management of operations on board while guaranteeing over 1800 mm of headroom.

High-strength modular interiors

Fiberglass panels, configurable furnishings, and edge-free surfaces ensure sturdiness, safety, and ease of sanitization, even in demanding operational environments.

Total control in every situation

The integrated system architecture allows for the complete management of on-board functions, offering reliability and simplicity even during complex or prolonged operations.

How the raised roof is created

  1. Cutting and welding

Every component is cut and welded with millimeter precision

  2. Anti-corrosion treatment

Application of special coatings to resist weather agents

  3. Structural reinforcements

Installation of reinforcements to guarantee safety in crash tests roof raising of the Ford Transit AWD 4x4 L2H2 is carried out by installing a layered fiberglass element that is added with structural adhesives to the external body and roof pillars of the vehicle. To raise the roof, the 4 original Ford rear pillars that connect the roof from right to left of the sides are unsoldered, and raising brackets designed by us are applied to move the original pillars 130mm higher than their original position. The pillar connecting the driving cab is neither modified nor altered in any way.

This conversion allows for a rear load compartment height of approximately 1900 mm even in vehicles with four-wheel drive. Once all the elements are glued, the joint between the fiberglass roof and the vehicle's original sheet metal is finished using a body-colored polymer (white) that fills all the gaps and seals the elements together, preventing water leaks.
